- Meeting was called to order by Keith Brown at 7:10 p.m.
- Open discussion, election will take place at 7:30 p.m.
- Minutes from March 12, 2003 were reviewed.
- Community Update
- HOA created as a 3 member board - appointed 2 additional members.
- Call for a vote to increase board to 5 members. Keith Brown made the motion. Mike P seconded the motion.
- Vote unanimous to increase board to 5 members.
- Financial Update
- Reviewed financial statement, no comments.
- Open Discussion
- A homeowner mentioned concern for water that comes on when it is raining… waste of water. Keith said that they can talk to landscapers about adjusting the water schedule if it continues to be a problem. Some discussion about the type of automatic detector that can be put in to automatically turn water off if it senses rain.
- Another homeowner commented on the problem with pigeons in homes. a suggested was offered to put chicken wire in the opening to prevent pigeons from entering the roof area.
- EPA corner landscaping - (Litchfield and Wigwam area) Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company with ADEQ had their meeting for voluntary program they entered into with the feds. They have a 30 day proposal, a comment period, possibly more testing and sampling. The area belongs to Sun Cor they are responsible for maintaining and cleaning the area.
- Next issue was to get code compliance officer at the city of Goodyear. Code enforcement officer.
- Keith stated that he met with Fulton Homes and their attorney gave them the opportunity to pay lump from Fulton to cover landscaping area.
- Never discussed with potential homeowners the diesel fuel below the ground. It's taking longer because of the ADEQ voluntary program.
- Continuous violations committed within the community - 3 notices given/ 1 final notice demand of compliance, then a legal notice with a fee attached.
- Homeowner mentioned the problem with the postal service - USPS - a vehicle stolen… loss of mail.
- Another homeowner mentioned that their brand new vehicle was stolen out of her garage last night.
- Several complaints on the golfing in the park - holes in the homes, broken windows. NOT permitted.
- NOMINATIONS/Elections:
- Keith described the requirement: 2 - 3yr term.
- Kate Bezzegh, Keith Edwards, Glen Foulk, and Mike Hawthorne and Birgitte Santaella all spoke.
- The new board members elected were Keith Edwards, Glen Foulk, and Mike Hawthorne.
- The meeting was dismissed around 8:00 p.m.
